Casper East RV Park

Casper, Wyoming Stayed 6/1/20 – 6/2/20.  We stayed here because we broke down outside of Casper.  They allowed the tow truck to bring our 5th wheel into the campground.  It was a convenient location as the Chevy dealer our truck was at was right across the highway.  They were very accommodating and we were pleasantly surprised at the price ofContinue reading “Casper East RV Park”

Rawlins KOA Journey

Rawlins, Wyoming 5/31/2020 This campground is right off the highway.  This makes it a convenient overnight.  It also means that there is a good deal of traffic noise.  For a place to get out of the wind and a quick overnight passing through the area it’s a good option.  It’s clean.  We would stay here again. Silver Island Mountains BLM

Wendover, Utah Stayed here 5/29/20 – 5/31/20, 4/30/20, 2/7/19, and 9/20/18.  Great location whether it’s a stop over or the destination and close to the salt flats.  The entrance is a short distance off of I-80.  And, you can see the highway but the noise from the highway is faint.  We love this camping area and will definitely visitContinue reading “Silver Island Mountains BLM”

Moon Rocks

Reno, Nevada  Stayed here 5/27/20 – 5/29/20 and 5/1/20 – 5/3/20.  This is dispersed camping with no amenities.  It is a great location for off road vehicle usage.  It seems like a lot of weekenders use this location because our second stay was during the week and was hardly anyone there.  We’ve enjoyed both of our stays there evenContinue reading “Moon Rocks”

Crack Canyon Wilderness Study Area/ Wild Horse Road

Season 8

All New We both love the water and grew up on the coast around boats and enjoying all kinds of water sports. And, somehow in our travels we often times end up staying in campgrounds with lake access. This is why it was surprising to us when we realized we had not had a jobContinue reading “Season 8”

Junction West RV Park

Grand Junction, CO Stayed 1/7/20.  We stayed here as a base camp to do shopping in town.  We traveled here once a month to go to the big box stores.  The staff was always friendly and accommodating.  The park was quiet and clean.  There is not only shopping in the area but many nearby attractions including the Grand Mesa.  We wouldContinue reading “Junction West RV Park”

Milford Lake State Park

Milford, Kansas Stayed here 1/3/20, 11/23/19, and 3/30/19.  We have stayed here multiple times on our way through Kansas.  The park is open year round and we have stayed in both full hook up and primitive sites.  The campgrounds are well maintained, clean, and the roads are paved.  They have a wide range of accommodations.  We found it easy toContinue reading “Milford Lake State Park”

Trail Side RV Park

Grain Valley, MO  Stayed 1/2/20.  This park is within view of the highway which means there is quite a bit of traffic noise.  The facilities and sites could use some updating but overall the park was clean.  We stayed one night on our way through the area.  It was okay for a place to rest and reset for ourContinue reading “Trail Side RV Park”

Louisville South KOA

Shepherdsville, KY  Stayed 1/1/20.  This park has a good number of amenities and although we only stayed one night we were impressed with the facilities.  Its location is not only near Louisville but also near several distilleries on the bourbon trail.  The after hours check in process was easy.  Our night was quiet and we would stay here again.Continue reading “Louisville South KOA”
